Busy Life

I have been very busy the last couple of weeks, therefore I have neglected my new hobby of 'blogging'. As many of you know, I went back to work a few weeks ago to fill in for my manager, so I was working almost a 40 hour work week. So when I wasn't at work, I was at home cooking, cleaning, and spending time with my precious baby, which was more important than me keeping up with my blog! But now, I'm back to part time, which is wonderful; I actually have time to do everything that I want to do. I don't know how these moms do it, working 40 hour work weeks, more power to them; I don't handle it to well!

Much has happened since my last post! Jason had his 27Th birthday last Thursday which was wonderful, I made him his birthday dinner which consisted of hamburgers, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and bread....and of course a cake! Of all things to pick, he picked that meal, it made me giggle! I got him a pull up bar to use for his P90X workouts and also got him a charger to go along with a Wii, which we will get eventually! Our in laws came over the Saturday before his birthday so we could have some mommy/daddy alone time, so we went to Cheddars to celebrate, and his cousin and his wife joined us, which is always nice! We also had another celebration this past Saturday at my mother in laws home. We always enjoy family time and Ethan was such a happy camper toward the end of the evening; he was just talking and smiling! So that was a great week for us!

Another fun thing that happened last week was a much needed Girls Night! I have not gone out alone with a group of girls in a LONG time! My friends Shelli, Tara, and I went to Chili's to eat on Friday and had some fun 'Girl Talk' and gossip (lol)...followed by a wonderful movie, 'Dear John'. I actually cried during this movie, it was that great. Shelli even brought tissues for us girls bc her and Tara had actually read the book, so they were prepared! I highly recommend seeing this film. Tara also got Ethan the cutest little outfits and sunglasses and socks to match (I hadn't seen Tara in a LONG time, so it was a great night)!
Now onto a new week; hopefully I can keep up! Also, if anyone has any good recipes for dinner, please forward them my way, it seems as though I rotate like 10 meals...and I like new recipes, but pulling them out of a book isn't good enough for me...I like to know from a friends point of view that something is worth trying.

  1. Have you tried Ritz Cracker Chicken? It's like a recipe we have had it my family for years! All you do is take chicken breasts or tenderloins dip them in some melted butter and then dip them in crushed up ritz crackers. Place them in a baking dish until they are done. I drizzle the leftover butter & cracker crumbs over them before I put them in. Cook them until they are moist and Enjoy! It's yummy and buttery!
I just recently made homemade lasagna and it was great!I marinate alot of things too if you're interested I will let you know!

  2. I love the new layout! Very cute! I also don't know how moms work 40 hours a week outside the home....it wasn't for me either!
